Rapper, Oludemilade Martin Alejo, Ycee has
opened up on how he balances education
with his music career and relationship.
According to him, it has been a difficult task
combining all, citing that his management
has everything on schedule to make it less
stressful for him.
” It’s not easy at all. It all comes down to my
management. I have a working team that
handles the music front when I have to be in
school and school comes first no matter
what and it’s great. My management draws
out a schedule for me so it’s less stressful
than it should be and it’s been working out.
I’m in my third year and should be done
with school very soon so I will be able to
face the music. I try to keep a low profile
because that is not the kind of attention I
want to attract to myself. ” He said
On any pressure to release his album, he
said “No. I’m more into making music and I
believe when it’s time to put out an album,
definitely an album will be put out but for
now I’m just working on building my fan
base so when I release the album, there will
be a bigger fan base to appreciate the album.
You don’t want to release an album only
your family members will listen to it. This
period for me is just to put in more work. In
as much as I’m doing it for fun, it’s also
music business and I need to make money”.
” Everything is equally balanced out, boo or
no boo. Music, everything is working out
fine and I thank God for that. ”
The talented hip-hop artiste who has made
his mark in the music industry continues to
wow his fans by consistently dropping great
tunes.
